Wyndham City responds to grass-cutting requests on public land.
This includes council-owned nature strips, median strips, roundabouts, parks and reserves, sporting grounds, open space, and other locations. Since Council mowing is considered commercial, mowers generally arrive at about 6.30 am to set up and start mowing by 7.00 am, including Saturdays.

Grass cutting on private land

Residents are responsible for maintaining their front yard and nature strips.
  • If the grass is overgrown on private property such as a house or vacant land, please refer to Unsightly property or unsightly vacant land.
  • If the grass is overgrown on the nature strip, including the enquiry about who maintains the nature strips if the area has been handed over from the developer to Council refer to Nature strip maintenance.
