Wyndham City provides waste disposal vouchers (tip tokens) for eligible residents to dispose of household waste without incurring standard fees.

Ratepayers receive one Waste Disposal Voucher (tip token) on their annual rates notice, as long as the following conditions have been met:
  • The property is rated as house and land (tip tokens are not issued for vacant land)
  • The property is paying waste charges (private waste collections are not issued a tip token)
Waste disposal vouchers for 25-26 financial year expire on 30 September 2026. The voucher can be found on the right-hand side of the rates notice and has a QR code visible.

How to use a tip token

To use the Waste Disposal Voucher (tip token)
  • When presenting a tip voucher at the tip the customer is required to provide the address that the token is associated with. If they can't do this, they will be asked to pay for the visit.
  • Ratepayers must present their initial rates notice or the QR code can be scanned from their phone at the time of entering the RDF (Tip)
  • The tip token can be cut from the rates notice and handed to the attendant at the pay booth.
  • The tip token is valid for one domestic (household) load of rubbish.
  • Maximum of one car/ute/van plus single axle heaped or tandem trailer heaped. Rubbish can be put in both the car and trailer per one tip token.
  • The Waste Disposal Voucher is valid for one visit only.
Vouchers are to be used for waste from the property that the voucher is issued to and should not be exchanged or sold. The person presenting the voucher will be asked for the property address, if they cannot confirm the address that the voucher is linked to, they will not be permitted to use the voucher.
Terms of use:
  • Vouchers are to be used for household domestic type waste generated from a house.
  • They cannot be used for commercial loads.
  • The weighbridge officer on site has cameras and will inspect all loads upon entry.
  • The weighbridge officer has the discretion to not accept a voucher at any time.
