Council property

Wyndham City Council is responsible for removing graffiti from council assets such as:
  • Bins, seats, and other park furniture
  • Fire hydrants
  • Parks, playgrounds, reserves, and public toilets
  • Wyndham City buildings and signs

Private property

Residential property
Council can provide a contractor free of charge for graffiti that is no more than 3 meters high from ground level. Wyndham can assist residents with the removal of graffiti from private property such as fences and gates if the graffiti is visible from a roadway or public open space. Graffiti will either be chemically removed or painted over in a suitable colour.
Local businesses
Council can assist with up to two graffiti removals per financial year. Graffiti must not exceed 5m.
Do-it-yourself removal kits
Council provides free graffiti removal kits. You can collect a graffiti removal kit from Wyndham City Depot, 241-253 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing, during business hours (7 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday). The kit is not suitable for porous surfaces such as timber or concrete. If a kit is deemed not suitable, a request for graffiti removal can be raised for the graffiti team to action.

Graffiti and Vandalism Reporting

Graffiti and vandalism are illegal. Anyone witnessing property damage or holding information about an offender should report to the Police or Crime Stoppers immediately, regardless of the ownership of the property.
