To use council-owned roads, parks, or any public areas including the Werribee River in a film or production, you must first apply for a permit.

How to apply for a filming permit

Wyndham City's policy on filming requires that a copy of the Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance and a completed Application to Film are submitted and approved before Wyndham City issues a Filming Agreement.
  • A minimum of five (5) days' notice is required to approve and process a Filming Agreement.
  • There are no fees for a filming permit; however, where possible, the appreciation of Wyndham City and its residents should be acknowledged in the screen credits.
  • Customers can visit the Wyndham website for information about filming in Wyndham and to access the application.
