Wyndham City prohibits the display or placement of any electoral signage in or on any public place, including land, roads, and reserves that Council owns, occupies, manages, or controls. Council also has specific requirements regarding the placement and distribution of electoral signage throughout the municipality, including on private property.

Political party advertising

The distribution of political party leaflets in council-controlled public spaces is permissible in Wyndham City under the following conditions:

Request to be made in writing (email or hard copy) indicating site(s)
Provision of current public liability must be provided
A receptacle must be provided for any overflow/waste from leaflets handout to minimise litter
The site and surrounds must be cleaned of any materials generated by the event
An A-frame sign must only be temporarily placed at the site (subject to conditions)
If the distribution of leaflets is conducted outside business premises, consent would need to be obtained from the affected business(es)
